Amy Rowell

Senior Editor

Amy Rowell is a highly regarded industry editor, commentator and analyst with over 15 years in the high tech sector. Prior to joining Cyon Research, Amy served as Managing Editor of MCADCafe.com and has previously served in editor roles at CADENCE Magazine, and Computer Graphics World. She has also contributed articles to numerous publications serving the CAD/CAM, CAE and IT markets, including: Daratech, a Cambridge, MA-based technology market research and assessment firm; The CAD Report, a monthly newsletter for engineering management, and Design News, one of the leading trade publications dedicated to design engineers. As a keen industry observer, Amy has worked closely over the years with such companies as Intel, IBM, Motorola, Hewlett-Packard, General Motors, and Ford Motor Company.

As a result of her industry work experience, she has also dealt directly with the issues and challenges faced by engineering and manufacturing professionals. Previous employers include: Westinghouse's Industrial Automation Division; Robotics, Inc., a GE spin-off; and SEMATECH, a research and development consortia dedicated to advancing the state-of-the-art in semiconductor manufacturing technology.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York.
